Raise the Rainbow in Tulsa, Oklahoma!

Flag Raising & House Blessing Saturday, November 19

"The rainbow flag will soon be flying over downtown Tulsa! With the recent purchase of the permanent Tulsa Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgender (GLBT) Community Center, Tulsa Oklahomans for Human Rights (TOHR) invites you and all your family and friends to "Raise the Rainbow," set for 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 19, 2005 at 621 E 4th Street in the East Village of downtown Tulsa."

"The morning kicks off with remarks by TOHR President Laura Belmonte followed by a house blessing ceremony. The Rainbow Flag will then be raised, accompanied by special music as a roof surprise takes place. You'll then have the opportunity to take a sneak peek at the facility. Free breakfast refreshments, drinks and entertainment will be available in the "Great Hall" during the festivities."

"The permanent Tulsa GLBT Community Center will have a grand opening in the Spring of 2006. Renovations will be occuring over the next few months, making the facility accessible and improved for all the GLBT & allied community. In the meantime, stop by the current Tulsa GLBT Community Center at 5545 E 41st Street in Highland Plaza and experience the difference TOHR is making for equality and the Tulsa GLBT & allied community."
